Technical education has the power to develop our nation in all regards. In the past two decades technological growth enabled India to prosper in many fields. A major achievement came during the information age when India established its position with its strong core competency in information technology. To transform India from a developing nation to a developed nation, we need to concentrate on the ICT sector which will contribute to India’s GDP growth and in turn help alleviate problems like poverty, unemployment and poor infrastructural facilities at grass root level.
