Volunteers of NSS – TCET unit, were trained by the BMC officials on the causes of Malaria. It was an hour-long seminar, in which volunteers were taught how to take precautionary measures to avoid the conditions resulting in spreading Malaria. Trained volunteers of NSS – TCET unit thus conduct an awareness programme in the adopted area of Poisar, near Kandivali, weekly where villagers are taught the techniques of overcoming the dreadful disease.
The volunteers of NSS-TCET UNIT gathered on the occasion of Independence Day on the college ground. All the volunteers assembled where the flag was to be hoisted. The hoisting of the flag was followed by the National Anthem. The celebration filled in the feeling of patriotism and national integration in the students.
Visit to the Mumbai University on the Independence Day
5 students of NSS-TCET got an opportunity to visit Mumbai University for the celebration of our 64 th Independence Day. Along with the flag hoisting, a small programme was there in the auditorium where there some patriotic songs were sung and speeches were given by many important people of the University followed by an award ceremony. Awards were given to various people of NSS who have contributed for welfare of our society in various fields. Many students and teachers got trophies and certificates as token of appreciation for the wonderful job they had done. Also university launched its new webpage which was a very historical moment. The program concluded by singing Vande Mataram, our national song. The whole celebration filled a great sense of patriotism within the students present.
On the occasion of Ganesh Visarjan, the volunteers of TCET-NSS UNIT shoulder the responsibility of directing the traffic and managing the overcrowded area under the guidance and assistance of traffic police squad. Around 25 to 30 students were daily present at the spot between 5pm to 8pm on the 5 th, 7 th and 11 th (final) days of Visarjan. This voluntary help is appreciated by whole of the traffic control department.
This project is done by NSS-TCET unit to help orphanage children. Students donate their old clothes, toys and other things for the orphanage children. Volunteers collect these materials from students and then donate it to orphanage
RRC (Red Ribbon Club) members take up several activities under the MDACS. Street plays on the topics of public welfare, spreading awareness about HIV and other such activities are undertaken timely by RRC members.

Leadership Training Camp
This camp is organized by NSS Mumbai University and volunteers from each college participate in it. They are trained in all the areas in such camps .
