Principal's Message
At the outset of the new academic year we wish all the students aspiring
to be engineers a great year ahead and hope that the future will be full
of achievements. It’s my honor to invite you for admission to our engineering
programmes and to share the journey of the last 10 years towards excellence
and relevance in the arena of technology.
TCET, one of the premiere institutes under the umbrella of Thakur Educational Group (TEG), started in the academic year 2001-2002 to nurture young talents in the field of engineering and technology with quality education. The last decade was full of challenges as well as opportunities. Taking advantages of the situation, the institute has grown from micro to macro level and is in the process of becoming one of the premiere institutes of international standards in the city of Mumbai. The various facilities have over the period created trust among students which supports a conducive environment for teaching learning process and acts as catalyst for quality technical education. Moreover, the institute has gone for the NBA national accreditation. NBA team visited the institute from 25 to 27 March 2011 for the accreditation of three courses: Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication and Information Technology. The Course is Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi w.e.f 16.09.2011.
The institute also organizes a number of national and international events focused on student’s growth and development and has produced 4 toppers and many rank-holders at the University. It is also a known fact that with bright academics, students can achieve excellence in their professional career. Therefore, under Systematic Education Plan and Monitoring (SEPM), institute is carrying out a number of activities which shape the professional career of the student as a successful technocrat / techno-manager/techno-scientist.
SEPM Includes:
- Conducting orientation and brain storming sessions
- Proper planning for academic deliveries
- Arranging industrial visits / vacation training
- Training under Student Development Programmes (SDP)
- Remedial work to compensate for academic loss
Effectiveness of SEPM can be seen from the following facts:
