Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at TCET, Mumbai. The department is accredited by NBA for the fourth time in July 2022 for a period of 3 years. It is located in a capacious environment with a state of art facilities and highly qualified faculty. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovation of new technologies. Department offers large number of professional elective and open elective courses for providing wide spectrum of options to the students to pursue their interest. The course contents are periodically updated with approval of Board of Studies committee and Academic Council committee for introducing new scientific and technological developments.

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering has 26 experienced faculty members and around 440 Undergraduate (UG), Masters (ME), and Doctoral (Ph. D.) students.

The department was established in the year 2002 with an UG intake of 60, in 2003 the UG intake was doubled to 120. Since then, the department has progressed from offering only undergraduate courses to also offering post graduate program with intake of 18 in 2008 and doctoral programmes with intake of 10 in 2014 in significant areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The department’s graduate, post graduate and doctoral programs carry on drawing from a very sturdy application pool.

The department has a distinguished record in both teaching and research. Faculty members have excellent academic credentials and are highly regarded. They have been conferred with many prestigious awards at national and international levels. Several faculty members serve on the editorial boards of national and international journals, review technical articles for journals on a regular basis, and organize international symposia and conferences.

The department faculty work with excellent team spirit in different technical domains like Communication, Signal Processing, IOT & Embedded System, RF and Antenna, Electronics Devices and Modelling and Information Technology Domain which leads to fundamental research publications and consultancies in these areas. Undergraduate students are encouraged to undertake various research projects in six domains of the department. The department endeavours to provide conductive surroundings for the students to develop logical and real-world skills and apply them to real world glitches. To inspire the students, the department organizes regular training in software & hardware periodically, organizes workshops, seminar, local & outstation Industrial Visits, E-conference and International Conferences annually. The faculty members are constantly striving to increase the industry affiliations so as to increase the internship, outhouse project and placement opportunities for E&TC students.
