About IOT
The Department of Internet of Things (IoT) at TCET, established in the academic year 2021–2022, aspires to be a center of excellence in emerging technologies, dedicated to cultivating technologists capable of addressing the complex challenges of the twenty-first century. The department offers a comprehensive B.Tech program in IoT, structured to develop analytical, data-driven, and innovative professionals endowed with leadership qualities and a strong ethical foundation.
The curriculum is designed to achieve specific program outcomes, including the development of problem-solving skills through programming methodologies relevant to IoT (PSO1), proficiency in various IoT application development tools and their implementation (PSO2), and the promotion of lifelong learning, research aptitude, and entrepreneurial skills to meet evolving global demands (PSO3). With a faculty strength of eight members, including two doctoral scholars, the department is well-equipped with three specialized laboratories and a dedicated library comprising 72 technical volumes. Students benefit from industry-aligned course content and are encouraged to engage in research projects and technical activities facilitated by professional bodies such as the Institution of Engineers (India), ISTE, and IETE. The department also actively promotes scholarly communication through its e-magazine, “THINGTECH”, and supports academic excellence via well-appointed seminar halls and digital resources.
