About Internship
Internships are crucial for students, offering An internship is an opportunity to expose Intern (Students) to industry environment for adopting the industry Culture in all aspects during their education career for particular period. It reveal the students to the industrial environment, which creates competent professionals for the industry ready. An internship consists Sharing of services for experience between the intern and the Industry/Organization where students can learn the Industry required skills, applicability of the academic knowledge, Hands on experiences and Industry will get quality Intern amongst them.
Interns will get the opportunity to develop the technical skills with real examples. Internship not only improve the technical skills but help to enhance the communication skills, managerial skill, teamwork skills and critical thinking. Internship helps to check the self-Evaluation of the intern whether they are ready for the industry or not. Interns can understand their own strengths and weaknesses as they know that how they can give their best contribution and be aware of how they can bring out the best in others. Interns can learn the strategies like time management, multi-tasking, network building with industry people.
Internship is beneficial not only for the students but it is beneficial for the industries as well as the technical institutes. Through Internship industries get the trained graduate candidates for the employment so that they need not to train the employee during his job time. Industries can enhanced their image in the community by contributing internship to the educational enterprise. On other side institutes also have the benefits like the relationship building with the industries which helps to improve the placement process, institutional credibility and branding. Curriculum revision can be made based on the feedback received from Industries.
Training and placement Cell of TCET promotes the Internship for developing all Industry ready skills amongst the graduates. Internship need is identify by taking the inputs from Industry experts, HR as well as the alumni of the institute. All the guidelines for Internship is followed as per AICTE Internship Policy. After the autonomy of the institute, it is made mandatory for the students to complete the 440 to 560 hours of internship during their academic program and credits are awarded under Holistic Student Development (HSD) Program.

- A minimum of 11-14 credits of internship need to be completed by students during their B.E. programme.
- One credit is equivalent to 40 hours of internship, training, or a relevant course.
- Students should spend approximately 40 hours per week during a 3-4 week internship duration.
- Students should complete a total of 440-560 hours of internship during their graduate programme.
- First- and second-year engineering students should complete In-House Internships, whereas third- and final-year students should complete Out-House Internships.
- Students should complete internships during vacation slots without disturbing the academic schedule.
