Inhouse Internship


The In-House Internship Program was established during the 2016-2017 academic year to provide students with hands-on industry experience within the institution. Its importance became evident through interactions with industry professionals and students, highlighting the need for students to gain practical exposure to real-world work environments. The program helps students understand their roles as engineers, workplace productivity, and essential safety protocols. Designed primarily for first-year and second-year students, this initiative prepares them for industry expectations. Additionally, it aligns with AICTE’s internship compliance requirements, further enhancing students' professional readiness.

Outhouse Internship


Outhouse internship students approach companies and work on real time projects assigned by company persons. The following Table shows details about year wise outhouse internship data which shows no of students completed internship. The number of students who have done internships has increased after autonomy.


Guidelines


  • A minimum of 11-14 credits of internship need to be completed by students during their B.E. programme.
  • One credit is equivalent to 40 hours of internship, training, or a relevant course.
  • Students should spend approximately 40 hours per week during a 3-4 week internship duration.
  • Students should complete a total of 440-560 hours of internship during their graduate programme.
  • First- and second-year engineering students should complete In-House Internships, whereas third- and final-year students should complete Out-House Internships.
  • Students should complete internships during vacation slots without disturbing the academic schedule.
  • The following framework is proposed to provide academic credits for the Internship Programme.
